Hello and welcome. Let me introduce myself. I am Maria Moukas, a Seniors Real Estate Specialist. The reason I am here offering my services to 50+ group of buyers and sellers is due to my passion for helping and working with senior citizens.

I have been assisting seniors in housing transitions since I began my career, more than a decade ago. 

​

When one reaches a certain stage in life, one may need to decide whether or not one wants to downsize their home to something more manageable, or find something more ideal for their personal needs. I can help one assess your situation; They should come talk to me! If anything, in me one can find a friend.

 

As we age, our needs change.  We start experiencing more aches and pains.  Finances may dwindle.  Our support system might no longer be accessible. With all these changes, it can be difficult to decide what to do. In this situation, it’s best to be surrounded by a Seasoned Broker who has firsthand experience in helping you through this process. I am here for you!

 

There are many things that have to be taken into consideration:
 

• should you stay at home, where you are, with supportive care?

• move to a facility such as assisted care?

• should you sell or rent your property?

 

I am here to help you become aware of the various options that are available to you.

 

The decision to stay or move will always be yours. My role is to help guide you through the process, and to make it simple and easy for you.

Perhaps the parent would actually prefer to go on living there. As your broker, I understand the challenges you all face in this major decision making process. By doing so, I can present all available options, so that the outcome is one that will suit your and/or your loved one’s  needs.

I became a REALTOR because I enjoy the hustle and bustle of the day to day activities, whilst interacting with people, more particularly Seniors. My decision to become an SRES® Realtor is rooted in a desire to help others. It means that I can bestow the respect that I have for all individuals, with the ability to listen deeply to same while asking, to my belief, the right questions. I have learned to communicate the old-fashioned way, with a handshake, a hug and a visit.I am prepared to sit and chat awhile. I will take the time to get to know them and their family's situation.

 

My decision to become an SRES® designee came into fruition after the overwhelming passing of my own mother.

I had to start to take care of her due to her declining health while she was still able to live alone. During  the last five years of her life, she was moved her into a retirement facility that had services onsite up until her Alzheimer's worsened and she had to be moved to a long-term care facility.
